It’s always suspect when a publisher claims that a not-yet-released game is going to be a success. They have a vested interest in the game selling well, so it behooves them to drum up even more excitement. Xbox is speculating thatQuantum Breakmight be wildly popular, but at least it has good reason for those projections.
On theTXR Podcast(and as reported byGameSpot), Xbox marketing executive Aaron Greenberg talked about the pre-release reception toQuantum Break. “It’s been great. Pre-orders are really strong; they’re performing well ahead of plan. Retailers are continuing to increase their orders for the game, which we track and watch,” he said.

Greenberg continued with hopeful praise by stating “We’ve been playing the game; we know it’s a great game. Fingers crossed, but I think we’re sitting on a mega hit.”
Days before launch, Microsoft has empirical data showing thatQuantum Breakis out-pacing its projections. That’s enough to make Remedy head Sam Lake dive into agiant bottle of champagne. Our review will be up at midnight Pacific time, so it’s only mere hours before you hear our verdict.
