Electronic Arts has released a twenty-minute gameplay demo ofDead Space 3, giving us our first full look at some single-player, co-op, and boss battle sections. There is lots of shooting and squealing going on.
After watching the demo, I still have my reservations. EA’s desire to give the series a “broader appeal” is certainly evident, with new firefights against human opponents, as well as scenic environments that look straight out ofUncharted. The game’s drawing a fair few comparisons withLost Planet,too.
Though I fear the game’s sacrificing individuality in the quest for sales, I still trust Visceral Games immensely and I have a feeling that, evenifit becomes a more homogeneous game, it’ll still be a damn fine one. I certainly hope so, anyway.
