Movie adaptations of video games have proven themselves to be lucrative when done correctly.Martha is Deadis one of the next titles to get the treatment, and it may be one of the best choices.
Martha is Deathis developed by Italian studio LKA, and the live-action movie is being made in collaboration with Swedish film-production company Studios Extraordinaires. Much likethe celebrated game, the film is set in World War 2, and it focuses on the sisters Martha and Giulia. What ensues next is a mystery that will leave your mind twisted and your hands trembling.
In the press release, the publisher, Wired Productions, speaks a bit about how fittingMartha is Deadis for a film adaptation, especially due to its “gripping narrative and unique setting” managing director Leo Zullo states. We can expect something a little more special than usual, as the project is being co-directed by André Hedetoft and Andreas Troedsson who specialize in” crafting high-end action, horror, and science-fiction films from original stories and extraordinary games.”
Ambition is high for this project, and both Hedetoft and Troedsson wish to create something that offers both “fans and newcomers a cinematic tour-de-force, while staying true to the game’s soul-stirring essence.”
Martha is Dead‘s film adaptation has yet to receive a release date.
