Uh, I thought Ono-san said ‘oh, no’
Hot on the heels ofStreet Fighter‘s Yoshinori Ono tweeting there arecurrently no plans to bring theStreet Fighterseries to the Wii U, Capcom has announced the entirety of the SNESStreet Fighter IIseries is headed to the the system’s virtual console.
Beginning this week in North America and Europe, Wii U owners will be able to download 92’sStreet Fighter II; 93’sStreet Fighter II Turbo, and 94’sSuper Street Fighter II. Each game will arrive at the standard $7.99, but Capcom is also offering a deal for those who’d like to own the SNESStreet Fighter IItrifecta.

For North American gamers, buying one title will drop the price of the other two games by 50 percent. In Europe, Capcom will be running a buy-two, get-the-third-game-free deal.
Either way, if you buy all three the savings are the same. But does anyone really need them all?
