Three-Dog’s gone the way of Ol’ Yeller
The first time we had any inkling that aFallout 4was coming was a few years ago, whenFallout 3character Three-Dog’s voice actor Erik Todd Dellums hinted in a tweet that there would be more of the character coming.
To all my#Fallout3and#ThreeDogfans: There may be more of the Dog coming! Fingers crossed!

Looks like Bethesda didn’t actually want Three-Dog back after all, as according to tweets made by Dellums (that have since been deleted, but paraphrased by IGN), he is not a part of the game.

According to IGN, Dellums quoted a tweet made by Bethesda saying the voice acting forFallout 4has been completed. He said the tweet felt “like a gut punch”.
He later tweeted:
The bottom line:Falloutfans are the best. Wanted to be a part ofFallout 4for them. Love their energy, loyalty and kindness…
…Fun fact: I auditioned for no less than 7 roles inFallout 3. Can only wonder why no audition for #4? Bewildered.

Seeing as how all the tweets have now been deleted, it’s likely Dellums wanted to avoid upsetting his relationship with Bethesda.
Still, itdoesmake sense. Three-Dog would need one hell of a transmitter to broadcast from the Capital Wasteland to Boston.

I do hope we see some sort of acknowledgement ofFallout 3inFallout 4though, like howNew Vegaswas full of lore and references toFalloutandFallout 2.
Are you going to miss Three-Dog bringing you the truth, no matter how bad it hurts? Or did you just leave him to Super Mutants?
