As long as you bought direct, that is

Saying VR got off to a “rocky start” is kind of like saying the surface of Pluto is “a bit nippy”. Both the Vive and the Rift have been plagued by stock shortages and delays, leaving plenty of people unhappy with their very expensive purchases.

Forthe Vive, at least, that’s coming to an end.HTC has promisedthat if you buy it direct from them, it will be shipped out to you within 2-3 business days from purchase. That’s certainly an improvement from the months people have been waiting already:

There are a few feelings you can expect when you click the order button for your Vive—irrational excitement (well, we would actually call that level of excitement completely rational), anticipation, curiosity. What we do not want you feeling is uncertainty over when your Vive will be shipped. So, as of June 7th, all Vive systems purchased on www.vive.com will ship within 2-3 business days of purchase.

Pre-orders (for this thing that launched inApril) made through GameStop, Microsoft Stores, and Micro Centers will also begin to be fulfilled this week. Better late than never, I suppose?
