By about 50 euros

If you’re in North America or Japan, you’ve already enjoyed a pretty hefty price cut for the PS4. I’ve heard (from an admittedly not reliable source) that some towns in rural Oklahoma now build their houses out of PS4s instead of bricks, just because of how cheap they’ve apparently become.

Those of us in Europe are still having to pay a bit more for our consoles, but maybe not for too much longer. In an upcoming Dutch retail advert posted by Twitter account All Games Beta, it’s claimed that the PS4 will be slashing its price from 400 euros to 349 euros (£257, or $397 roughly). Whether this will only be at the shop advertising it, Bart Smit, or whether it’s a sign of a larger price slash across Europe is currently unknown.

A battle scene in Battlefield 6 Open Beta

We might find out if this rumour is true this week at the Paris Games Week. The advert says the price cut is coming by October 21, so we don’t have long to wait to see if this is true.

And soon all of Europe, from Lisbon to Saltsburg shall be torn down, to be rebuilt with those cheap, cheap PS4s. Oh, and it’d be just in time for Christmas too, I guess.
