For those not in the know, The International is pretty much the Super Bowl of theDota 2pro scene. There’s abajillionmillion dollars at stake for the first place team, which is one of the biggest prize pool in eSports. The tournament began today and will run until Sunday.
I can remember watching The International last year without even knowing anything aboutDota 2. I had no idea what was going on, but it was still entertaining to watch and the commentators did a pretty good job explaining things since they knew there would be a lot of unfamiliar eyes on the streams. Now I’ve spent over 200 hours inDota 2and I am super excited to be in the know and watch some top level play. I’ll be rooting for the first team to pick Alchemist or Bat Rider.
