Tourney attendees can check out Capcom’s latest
In news that, quite honestly, was something of an inevitability,Capcom has revealedthat its recentStreet Fighter 6demo will be making the rounds at next month’s Evolution (EVO) fighting game tournament. Attendees will be able to check out the upcoming fighter live on location at Mandalay Bay.
While trial sessions ofStreet Fighter 6have been mostly confined to the press and/or Capcom’s best buddies, the publisher is now beginning to drip-feed access to the public at several upcoming events, such as the aforementioned EVO and theincoming San Diego Comic-Con(SDCC). I would not be surprised if, much like withStreet Fighter V, we don’t also see some form of closed or open beta rolling out as we exit summer and enter the fall season.

On top of the announcements coming to Evo 2022, attendees will also have the chance to play the game at the event.

WhileStreet Fighterfans were hit with an abundance of info (both officially and very unofficially) last month, Capcom has since gone quiet on the new fighter, with nary a new character announcement, trailer, or update to be seen. We are almost guaranteed to hear some new info at EVO, (perhaps even SDCC), hopefully in the form of a character trailer or two. In the meantime, be sure to check out our previous reports on theleaked character roster, the breakdown ofFamily Man Guile, and a look at the sequel’sintriguing new mechanics.
EVO 2022 will take place at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay resort on the weekend of August 5-7. Tomorrow is thefinal day to registerfor the event.Street Fighter 6launches on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox in 2023.
