After many years of waiting, Namco Bandai has finally given us a release window for the in-development-for-10,000-years retro revivalSplatterhouse. The gore-laden beat ’em up is set for a very appropriate Halloween release.

Splatterhousehas had a long and troubled development, switching hands between developersat least once and finding itself subjectto a dispute betweenoriginal studio Bottlerocket and the publisher. These problems behind the scenes have led me to be worried about the game’s quality, but I will most certainly check the game out when it’s released and I’ll keep a faint glimmer of hope for good things.
