As it turns out, people still love some old-fashioned scares. That’s evident by the latest news coming out of Capcom’s camp:Resident Evil HD Remasterhas broken one million units sold since its January release. That’s a lot of folks signing up for a tour of a creepy mansion.

This isn’t the remaster’s first brush with success. Soon after release, Capcom issued a statement saying that it was thefastest selling digital titlein company history. Likewise, it dominated the PlayStation Store’s sales chart for the month of January.

Capcom’s celebrating the milestone by issuing a set of newResident Evilwallpapers. The link to those is inside the publisher’s announcement post. Quick warning, though: Clicking the link automatically starts a download of a 154MB .zip file. I didn’t bother to let it finish, but there’s likely something in there for fans of the franchise.
