…But console crossplay operators will have to stay frosty
During today’s Ubisoft Forward presentation, alongside the gameplay reveal ofRainbow Six Extraction, theRainbow Six Siegedevelopment team finally announced crossplay and cross-progression for the tactical, team-based shooter. It took long enough, but it’s finally en route, fellowSiegefans.
The new features will allow PC, Stadia, and Luna players to jump into the field together from as soon as June 30. Unfortunately for console operators, the PlayStation and Xbox editions ofRainbow Six Siegewill not be joining the crossplay party until “early 2022”. That’s admittedly a bit of a rough wait, but givenRainbow Six Siege‘s dedicated community — which continues to grow years after the title’s release — these new additions will help grow the excellent shooter title into the new generation.

In the meantime, check out this new animatic, focusing on newNorth Star operator, Thunderbird.
