Hardly a scheme worthy of Team Rocket A Japanese man has been arrested by authorities for allegedly generating and selling hacked critters from Nintendo Switch releasePokémon Sword & Shield. The 23-year-old was apprehended in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture after being caught allegedly selling a hacked Sobble. The suspect is accused of having used a “jailbroken” Nintendo Switch console to run a service online in which they would create hacked Pokémon to order, with each critter retailing for around ¥500, with a commission fee of up to ¥800 should an individual order six Pokémon or more....

In a surprising move, Team Ninja areadding a new, easier difficulty modeto Ryu Hayabusa’s latest adventure,Ninja Gaiden 3. Sackboy gets nerfed OMG Sony promised patches forPlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and now you’re getting them, starting next week with patch 1.02. Among the changes are a new item (Medusa’s Gaze, presumably fromGod of War, and presumably something that can turn you into stone), an easier invite system, improvements to the netcode, and enhanced AI. Sackboy is also getting nerfed in just about every way possible. His supers now need more AP to use, and a few of his abilities have lost some AP generation....

This is the sort of mash-up you dream about but never get to see actually happen. On second thought, Capcom totally did this with the lastLost Planet. Remember Frank West? Hewas playablein it. Although … the more I think about it, the more I realize Albert Wesker inLost Planet 2is even crazier. Why? BecauseLost Planet 2has 4-person co-op. You could theoretically have the game turn into a story about Wesker and his three clones going into the jungle to kick some Akrid ass....

Sometimes, I really want chocolate. Sometimes, I really want peanut butter. And occasionally, I want ice cream. This problem is perfectly solved when I go eat some Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups ice cream, a triage of sugary-goodness. The same can be applied to games. Sometimes I want to shoot people online, or grief 12-year-olds on PlayStation Home, or gank phat lootz in an MMO. It’s a conflicting trifecta, I know. Could there somehow be a mash-up of these three different games?...
