Gothic action-platformer now Switch-bound Have you heard aboutBlasphemous? You need to hear aboutBlasphemous. It’s a dark-fantasy action game fromThe Last Doorcreator The Game Kitchen and publisher Team17, and it looks gnarly in all the right ways. I was already feeling the religious theme and imagery, but this trailer–created to confirm a release across PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch–just cements it. Some promising vania-inspired games in recent years ended up falling flat, but I’m not worried here....

Silly that it wasn’t already an option Respawn Entertainment is rolling out its next major patch forTitanfallacross all platforms today and, most notably, it grants players the ability to create their own private matches. These matches can hold between 2 to 12 players, and XP, achievements, and challenges aren’t earnable. This patch does several other things, like add a shortcut to the Xbox One’s Party App, more effectively distinguish players on the mini-map and elsewhere, put an end to a wall-hack exploit in the PC version, introduce balance tweaks, and fix bugs....

Sure, that may be months after the North American and Japanese launches, but good things come to those who wait. John Vechey to work for environmental non-profit Grist PopCap boss John Vechey is parting ways with the studio he helped build nearly 15 years ago. In Vechey’sfarewell address, he reveals plans to “give something back for awhile until [he figures] out what’s next.” That involves working with environmental news organizationGrist, while PopCap soldiers on with new projects, including an “all-newPeggle.” The departure marks the end of the era for PopCap, leaving the developer without any its three founders....

We heard a bit about this earlier, but now it has been confirmed: A new television series based on Ubisoft’s crazy Rabbids has been announced, set to air on Nickelodeon. The television channel has secured global broadcast rights for 26 half-hour episodes of full CG Rabbid goodness. These will air sometime in 2013. The press release says that “Ubisoft Motion Pictures will work with Ubisoft’s French studios to create a television series every bit as hilarious, unexpected and preposterous as the Rabbids games that fans already know and love....
