But for the most part, Intelligent Systems did it. It managed to build on the pillars ofAwakeningand deliver a one-two (well, technically three) punch withFire Emblem Fates— though one version excited me a little less than the others....

There’s stuff for both the casual and hardcore players When I met with withRocket Leaguecreative director Corey Davis at PAX earlier this month to talk about the upcoming update, I knew it was going to be a big one. It’s the best selling SimCity game of all time According to Electronic Arts,SimCityhas sold over 1.1 million copies, making it the fastest sellingSimCitygame to date. About half of those sales have been for the digital version of the game. It’s interesting that despite all of theissues at launchhow well the game has done. While one million might not seem like a huge amount of sales, it is really good for a PC simulation game during its first week....

It offers players a world with enough structure to help make sense of existence, but not so much that you ever feel trapped or otherwise punished. It’s less an attempt to recreate real life in a video game world, and more an effort to recreate it as something easier, safer, and kinder....

Top of the Plops Nintendo’s colorful sequelSplatoon 3is now out in the wild and is already proving to be an absolute smash hit. The wacky arena shooter has not only soldover three million copiesin its home territory Japan, but has also debuted in the top spot of the UK Charts. This feat represents the first time that theSplatoonseries has held the premier position and, as one of the few major Nintendo franchises not to find itself on the throne, is a particularly notable event....

Is this a triple/quadruple dip situation for you? Team Meat is still trucking along even if it doesn’t have all of its same founding members, and that naturally includes more ports ofSuper Meat Boy. By way of Twitter, the company announced that the platforming classic would hit Switch later this year by way of the eShop, but they’ll also be dabbling in a physical release (just likeIsaac) sometime next year. It’s not set in stone as the phrase “likely” was involved, but at the very least it probably won’t come this year....
