Cannibal Holocaust video game adaptation to leave a bad taste in your mouth

What?… WHAT?… Italian director Ruggero Deodato, in collaboration withFantastico Studio, has announced a video game sequel to his notorious 1980 film,Cannibal Holocaust. In development for release on PC and consoles later this year, it’s expected thatCannibalwill put the “graphic” in its “interactive graphic adventure.” Cannibalwill see players guide a cast of hapless characters through the oppressive, unmapped jungles of Borneo, where I assume nothing untoward will happen at all. Little detail is available on the project at this point, but Deodato – director of grim pictures likeThe House on the Edge of the ParkandCut and Run– is confirmed as writer/director, with Fantastico Studio responsible for developing the Unity-based title....

Changer Seven looks like Brazilian Super Sentai comfort food

At Gamescom Latam,Gixer Entertainment announcedChanger Seven, a Brazilian hack-and-slash take on Super Sentai. It’s currently planned for release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2025. Changer Sevenis aDevil May Cry-stylehack-and-slash, which I think is what they call “character action” games. Climbing stairs is your greatest obstacle in Ghostbusters for the NES

Let me know when we get to twenty… I’m going to throw up It’s impossible to understate the impactGhostbustershas had on my life. I was fanatical about it when I was a child, and then I rediscovered it in my adolescent years and became fanatical all over again. I still carry a massive torch for it, dressing up in the costume I built in my teenage years, rewatching the cartoons and movies frequently, and pretending that no movies have been released sinceGhostbusters 2, and none will ever be released again....

Death Battle returns with some hot Zelda-on-Peach action

The last episode of ScrewAttack’sDeath Battlereleased on Christmas Day. Three months seems like plenty of time for Ben and Chad to organize another match, don’t you think? Thankfully, future episodes will be arriving at a steadier clip. As the header suggests, this episode pits Zelda against Peach, princess against princess. While both girls have played the damsel-in-distress role quite often, both have also demonstrated that they can hold their own in a weapons duel or a round of good ol’ fisticuffs....

Final Fantasy XIV’s patch 3.1 will once again feature Knights of the Round

Plus, a Pokemon-esque minion game I haven’t been playingFinal Fantasy XIVas much as I’d like, mostly due to the content drought and other obligations. But that will change when patch 3.1 hits, which is set to bring a ton of new activities to the game. One of the biggest additions is the Diadem area, which is basically a free roaming zone that can be played solo or with friends. There’s also new story missions, new Gold Saucer games, two additional dungeons, extra Vanu Vanu tribe quests, primal encounters (a reworked Knights of the Round fight from the main scenario quest), a 24-man raid similar to the Crystal Tower series (Void Ark), and a ton of quality of life adjustments....
