Starting with Super Mario Galaxy 2

Wii games are now going digital on the Wii U eShop. The process begins today withSuper Mario Galaxy 2joining the Virtual Console library this afternoon.Punch-Out!!will follow suit on January 22 with theMetroid Prime Trilogycoming at the end of the month, January 29.

Each of these games will be available at half-price ($9.99) in their first week on the market.

Nintendo also revealed more Wii titles are on the way, some of which will be able to be played using the Wii U GamePad (should the game feature Classic Controller support), whereas other software will require a Wii Remote and Nunchuk setup.
