You know thatwe’ve been keeping our eyeson Sonic Team’sNiGHTscomeback ever sincewe heard the rumors of its release earlier this year. There isn’t any real new news on that front, and fans are still looking forward to the first sequel in the series, but now we have an official trailer for the upcoming Nintendo Wii game. I don’t know if it is the “announcer guy voice” or the movie trailer pacing, but this video is really exciting. It may be that it’s simply drawing on fond memories, but who cares?
It has been said before, but the visuals aren’t a huge leap over the original Sega Saturn version, butNiGHTsfans probably don’t care, and they do actuallyseem to be getting better. From what little we can see in the trailer, the colors and backgrounds do look wonderful. We noticed that the cutscenes seem similar in style to the ones in recentSonicduds, but don’t let that spoil the fun. We just want to fly, damnit!
Let’s hope our E3 team finds out some good news aboutNiGHTs: Journey of Dreamsdirectly from Sega at the event.
