Steam Workshop integration, hooray!

In a video Q&A,Chivalry: Medieval Warfare‘s lead game designer Steve Piggott mentioned thatChivalry‘s mod tools are currently “in the works” and that it shouldn’t be too long before they’re released to the public. He didn’t give an exact date, since it is likely too early to pinpoint something at this time, and it’s better to not have a date than to announce a date and miss it.

Also announced is Steam Workshop integration, allowing greater access to custom maps. Releasing mod tools, especially with Steam Workshop, makes me so happy. I’m always brought back to the old days of adding random mods onto my buddy’sCounter-Strikeserver like Ninja Rope, or playing custom maps like Clue and Hide N Seek. With such a loving and dedicated community, I have no doubt thatChivalrywill get some insanely entertaining custom maps.
