A Mass Effect TV series is on the way

Varietyhas reported that Amazon is now in the development of theMass EffectTV series, with several individuals attached to the project. As of right now, “Exact plot details are being kept under wraps,” so it remains unclear whether this will be a direct adaptation of BioWare’s sci-fi RPG games. It’s a franchise ripe for original storytelling, but seeing Shepard on the small screen would be undeniably awesome.

Screenwriter Daniel Casey, the wordsmith behindFast & Furious 9, is currently set to pen the script. Meanwhile, Avi Arad is set to executive produce the project, after being part of thedisastrousBorderlandsmovie adaptationearlier this year. Other producers attached include BioWare’s Michael Gamble and Karim Zreik under Cedar Tree Productions.

As far as N7 Day goes, it was a pretty quiet one this year. The wait goes on for more news on the nextMass Effectgame, which was first confirmed back in 2020.
