During today’s Gamescom Opening Night Live, developer and publisher NetEase confirmed that upcoming Free to Play Hero ShooterMarvel Rivalsofficially has a release date.Marvel Rivalswill release on June 26, 2025 on Steam, Epic Game Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
TheOverwatch-inspired superhero team-based PvP shooter allows players to choose froma roster of Marvel Heroesand jump into 6v6 combat across a handful of landmark battlefields from the Marvel cinematic universe.
Marvel Rivalsrecently had a rather successful playtest, creating a lot of buzz around the fact that there is finally a potential competitor toOverwatch. Our very ownEric Van Allen got some playtime with the hero shooterand felt that while it wasn’t necessarily revolutionary, it could put some pressure onOverwatch.
All heroes will be unlocked and free-to-play “at launch and beyond” which is certainly great news for fans looking forward to dabbling in some Marvel madness.
