Konami, in an unprecedented example of doing something almost correct, has addressed the minor shitstorm that eruptedover its cancellationof aSilent Hill HD Collectionpatch by offering a free game exchange by way of recompense. You need you receipt, of course, but if you have it, you can bag a freebie.
“Please send your receipt to Konami Customer Service for verification and further details on how to exchange your product,” notes theofficialSHFacebook page. “This offer is only valid forSilent Hill HD Collection(Xbox 360 version) games purchased on or before 15-07-2025. All requests must be made in writing and submitted on or before 30-05-2025 and is subject to availability. Any inquiries received after this date will not fall under this exchange program. This offer valid for purchases made in North and South America.”

While this doesn’t alter the fact that new consumers can still buy thebroken, unfixed versionofSilent Hill HD Collection, it’s at least an attempt to make up for releasing a buggy game based onunfinished, ten-year-old code.
Now … how many folks kept their receipts this long?
