DuringS.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl’sNovember 20, 2024 launch, GSC Game World will release the game exclusively onPCandXbox Series X/S.Anyone playing on PC can buy the game through Steam, Epic Games, or Xbox Game Pass, while Xbox players can get it right from the console storefront. You can also get physical editions if you prefer having the game right in your hands.
That said, there is a chance it’ll launch on PlayStation 5 in the future. GSC Game World currently has an exclusivity deal with Microsoft, preventing it from stepping beyond PC and Xbox in the near future. However, once the deal ends, talks on whether GSC will develop a PS5 version ofSTALKER 2may arise again. It may not necessarily come out in early 2025, but a 2025 to 2026 release is certainly possible.
Unfortunately, we won’t see a PlayStation release for some time, especially with GSC and Microsoft’s deal in mind. 2025 is the earliest we’d see GSC portingSTALKER 2to PS5, potentially lasting longer if there are a handful of launch issues or bugs to address.
