The current season is, of course, the focus

I’m eager for IO Interactive to wrap upHitmannot just because I’m enjoying it so far, but because I want folks who are opposed to its episodic structure to play it and have a good time, too. There are a few locationsleft to go, including Thailand, the United States, and Japan. Then what?

Responding to a tweet asking about a potential second season, the officialHitmanaccounttweeted back, “Of course, our plan is to have three seasons. Although Season Two hasn’t been confirmed yet.”

That’s one way to open the floodgates! In a follow-up post on the Square Enix forums, community manager Chris Murphyclarifiedwhere IO Interactive is actually at with development and why it can’t really say anything beyond acknowledging that, yeah, moreHitmanis likely.

“Over the course of the last 12 months we had the pleasure to talk to many media representatives across the globe,” wrote Murphy. “We always pointed out the fact, that this is the beginning of a great journey for us. We planned out an intricate storyline that spans across several seasons, and our ambition is to continue and unfold it with futureHitmangames. That being said, our whole focus and attention is without a doubt on Season 1 right now, providing the very bestHitmanexperience possible. It’s far too early to talk about what’s next, before we haven’t even finished this journey. We really want to process all our learnings from Season 1 from every possible angle. Only then we’re in a good and solid position to think and talk about what’s possibly in store for the future.”
