Remember when Interceptor Entertainmentpurchased 3D Realms? Pepperidge Farm and Interceptor CEO Frederik Schreiber remember. And after digging through nearly 25 years’ worth of content after the acquisition, he’s sharing assets fromDuke Nukem 3D,Shadow Warrior,and various other titles with the community via theDuke4.netforums. Needless to say, there’s a whole treasure trove of neat stuff in there.
The assets range from unused logos fromDuke Nukem 3Dto rumblings about possiblePreyreleases if Bethesda okays it, and it’s practically overflowing with awesome. I won’t ruin the surprise. Just head on over and page through some great finds, then bask in the nostalgia. I grew up onDuke Nukem, so 3D Realms held a special place in my heart.
I’ve even got a specialDukevoicemail message on my cell via Jon St. John to greet callers. So this, Destructoid friends, is nearly as sacred as my Japanese edition ofSongs for the Deaf. Get on it, and dig up some gold.
