The final frontier
AfterCall of Duty: Black Ops IIIdropped its campaign modein order to squeak by on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the next entry, November’sInfinite Warfare, is skipping the languishing last-gen consoles entirely (at least at the hands of Infinity Ward). The developerconfirmedthe news today in a response sent over Twitter.
I have to imagine plenty of folks would put up withCall of Dutyon older hardware despite lowered graphical fidelity and feature sets, but Ialsohave to imagine Activision has crunched the numbers here and decided ports ofInfinite Warfarejust aren’t worth the production headaches.

Lots of folks have yet to buy an Xbox One or a PlayStation 4, but now that we’re a couple of years into this console cycle, and with enhanced models rumored, prices are getting reasonable for latecomers. Anywho, wake me when we get word thatModern Warfare Remasteredwill be sold standalone.
