How do SOS Flares work in Monster Hunter Wilds

Once you have fired the flare, up to three players can join the hunt. To do so, they will have to accept your request for help. you’re able to do the same by accepting the request of another player. If you’re already playing in a full party, you won’t have any option to fire a flare. To have the chance, at least one player from your party must leave/quit the game.

Until another human player arrives, Support Hunters will be there to back you up. These are AI-controlled hunters that will assist you temporarily. They will leave once other human players have arrived to help you.
