The AUT 4.2 update is now live inA Universal Time, and the Umbra Ability has been handed a major rework to how it works.
The rework has certainly upped the potential of this ability and made it a lot more competitive and effective than it was in the past. Naturally, it will make a lot of sense for you to obtain and use it in the game. Despite a rework, the process of obtaining it is quite lengthy, to say the least. There are several quests you’ll have to complete in order to unlock the Umbra Ability in AUT 4.2 update.
How to unlock Umbra Ability in A Universal Time (AUT 4.2 update)
To start the process, talk with the Umbra NPC located at the Floating Village. The NPC will be located right next to its clone. After talking with the NPC, you’ll be handed a set of tasks that will require you to craft the Sovereign’s Chapter item. Here’s the complete list of all the items that you’ll require.
All these items will be required to craft the Sovereign’s Chapter item. Once done, go and speak with Umbra NPC once again. You’ll be tasked to defeat Skibidi Noobie and The Sovereign Bosses.
You can encounter Skibidi Noobie at any boss altar, while the Sovereign Boss will spawn at the Dark Souls domain once every 30 minutes. Once you’ve defeated both the bosses, go back to Umbra NPC, and he will provide you with a Fable Item.
Combine the Fable item with the Sovereign’s Chapter item, and you’ll be able to craft the Sovereign’s Sword. To unlock Umbra Ability, use Standless on it to get yourself the new and reworked version.
