How to recruit Hecuba in Hades 2
Hecuba is the fourth animal companion inHades 2that Melinoe can get to come with her. You might have seen Hecuba in Echo’s room a few times, but besides a few pets, the dog does not seem very interested in coming back with us.
In order to get the sweet hound to join you, you have to become friendly with your other three companions. Make sure you have done several runs with your other animals, Raki the Raven, Toula the Cat, and Frinos the Frog. Get friendly with them, and also be sure to upgrade them a couple of times whenever you may.
Eventually, you should see the titaness Hecate with an exclamation mark over her head. Speak to her, and she will mention how much closer you have become to your familiars.
You can also talk to Hecate in Chaos trials, so you are not required to complete a full run just to speak to her. Once the Titaness is sure that you are good enough with animals, she will agree to let you meet Hecuba and lend her to Melinoe. You will find the dog in Echo’s room, make sure you have some animal treats with you, and the hound will be more than happy to come back with you.
How to upgrade Hecuba
If you decide to bring Hecuba in your next run, you will find she is great at finding digging spots for you. But she can also protect you during runs by stunning enemies. She can also add 15 points of magic to your maximum Magick, which increases over three ranks.
