During the Friend of Morokai the Turncoat quest inThrone and Liberty, your main task is to defeat a Queen Blood Spider. Anyone who has ventured into Carmine Forest eventually learns that regular blood spiders are aggressive creatures, with their queen being even stronger.

Where to find Queen Blood Spider in Throne and Liberty

There are two possible locations for the Queen Blood Spider inThrone and Liberty, both within the southern part of Carmine Forest. The first is just east of the main path, directly south of the forest’s waypoint. Alternatively, you may head past both paths until you find another clearing she spawns in.

Both will appear as small blue circles on your map if you have the Friend of Morokai the Turncoat quest active.

The eastern spawn spot has a few landmarks to differentiate it from the rest of the map. You’ll find a mysterious note about Morokai on a nearby stone ledge that begins the quest, with a campfire directly behind it. However, her exact spawn is in the clearing in front of the spider egg cave, making the note’s location more of a safe spot than anything.

The western area is slightly different, as the only indicator is the quest circle and a nearby Riftstone. Fortunately, it’s a mostly empty clearing that gives you enough space to kite around the Queen Blood Spider.

There’s a chance the Queen Blood Spider will be absent when you arrive at either location. Don’t worry; this usually means another player recently defeated her, so you might have to wait five, upwards of ten minutes until she appears again. I had much better luck finding her at the west spawn spot and used this location to complete the quest, but it’s worth checking both, just in case.

How to defeat Queen Blood Spider in Throne and Liberty

The Queen Blood Spider is a level 19 Elite enemy with just over 5,000 health points. She also has several attacks, ranging from a melee dive attack to ranged damage using web balls. Her attacks aren’t quick, but they pack a slight punch.

Overall, she’s not much of a threat as long as you dodge her attacks whenever possible and dish out enough damage to get through her hefty health bar. She can drain your health a bit with a few lucky melee hits, so it’s worth grabbing some extra World Tree Leaves, just in case. Aside from this, I stuck with my trustystaff and dagger combofor this fight, but you’re safe to use whatever you feel most comfortable with.

You can also tag-team the Queen Blood Spider alongside other players and still get the kill credit for the quest, so don’t be afraid to invite others to fight if it’s a little too challenging.
