After five years in development, almost scuppered entirely by the next-gen update forFallout 4,Fallout: Londonis finally available. you may download it and play it right now, but unless you downgrade your version of the game or follow some specific instructions, you’re going to struggle to get it to run.
Fallout: Londonwas basically ready to release when Bethesda launched thenext-gen update forFallout 4. The fact that the update was fairly buggy and that it changed many of the base files that developer Team Folon had been working with for years meant that the mod had to be delayed indefinitely. However, GOG stepped in to provide a custom mod distribution platform, solving any issues with the mod’s size and a solution to help users installFallout 4andFallout: Londoncorrectly so they can play right away.
To download and installFallout: Londonso it’s compatible when you run it, you first need to downloadFallout 4: Game of the Year Edition. This can be either throughSteamorGOG, but I’d recommend GOG because it makes running the mod so much easier.
Once you’ve purchased and downloaded the game, you need to visit theofficial store page forFallout: Londonon GOG and acquire it. At the time of writing, the mod is free. While I doubt GOG or Team Folon will ever be able to charge money for the mod, it’s worth grabbing before July 23, 2025, when the “giveaway” ends, just in case.
If you own and have already installed Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition through GOG Galaxy, then installFallout: Londonthrough the same launcher. Once the mod has been installed, follow the instructions after hitting Play in GOG Galaxy, and the mod should run smoothly.
However, if you ownFallout 4: Game of the Year Editionon Steam, and that’s where you’ve installed it, you need to downgrade your version of the game before you can play the mod.
