How to unlock Kevin’s secret levels in Overcooked 2

UnlockingOvercooked 2’ssecret Kevin levels is tied to your performance during each world. While Worlds One and Two only require reaching certain combos, subsequent zones have score requirements depending on whether you play solo or with other players. You’ll know a Kevin level is open when you drive around the map and spot a flag with a white bone on the floor.

Overcooked 2’sbase game has eight secret Kevin levels, while the DLCs each have their own set with similar combo and score requirements.

Unlocking the Kevin levels will be a source of constant intrigue. You’ll probably unlock one (the first one in all likelihood), and then you’ll spend the rest ofOvercooked 2wondering what you did right. Maybe you’ll occasionally unlock a few more Kevin levels, which will only fuel the bewilderment. What mystery criteria could you have fulfilled at that time? “Well, I only got two of the three stars, but I fell off the platform twice and set the kitchen on fire once. Maybe I have to deliver three wrong meals while my partner spends the whole time riding the conveyor belt…”

As it turns out, it’s far less obtuse than that. All the secret level criteria are tied to positive performance, but it’s not always contingent on scoring high. Developer Ghost Town Games sent us an exhaustive list of the exact requirements for unlocking all the Kevin levels. They’re all detailed below.

Before we start, a few housekeeping notes. There are usually different requirements for solo players and cooperative groups. Only one of these criteria needs to be hit to open up the secret level, not both. Also, “cooperative” refers to groups of two, three, or four players. Lastly, a combo means serving up dishes in the order they’re presented on-screen without failing any meals in the meantime; combos are new toOvercooked 2and it’s the system that the tips scoring is based upon.

So, without further ado, here’s a list of every hidden Kevin level and their unlock requirements for both singleplayer and multiplayer playthroughs.

Tips for unlocking every secret Kevin Level

Unlocking Kevin Levels inOvercooked 2is all about working fast and hard. When you see an order come up, be prepared to chop, cook, and serve as quickly as possible. If you’re in multiplayer, have someone cleaning dishes, prepping particular ingredients, and watching the food in case something’s about to burn. Singleplayer makes all of this slightly harder, but that’s why the secret level requirements are lower for it.

Combos, in particular, are important for unlocking levels and raising your score. Try to complete every dish in the order they arrive, and anticipate any combination of ingredients to appear. It’ll only become more challenging as you progress further into the campaign, but proper communication will help. You don’t necessarily need three stars across the board; you just need to try your best and not be afraid to retry a few times if things start to go south.
