Still due for March 2022

I’m still unsure what to think aboutTiny Tina’s Wonderlands. This world is probably worth exploring, and a more out-thereBorderlandsuniverse is one of the only ways they can push the envelope and potentially stay away from cringe commentary/humor. So I’m in at the moment, especially given the “Final Fantasyinfluences” by the development team. While we have plenty of time to mull it over, we have a chance to see a real glimpse of a few of theTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsclasses today.

In a video titled “Welcome to Wonderlands #1” (prescient), we get to see theStabbomancer(“sneaky assassins”) and theBrr-Zerker(frost-infused bruisers) in action. They’ll romp through Brighthoof (capital city of Wonderlands), Sunfang Oasis (deserts), The Tangledrift (beanstalks), and the Butt Stallion’s Castle while fighting members of the skeletal army.

We also have insight into how players will move around throughout the game:

“The Overworld is an unmistakable nod to tabletop gaming, which gives players a third-person, bird’s-eye view as characters sprint around Tina’s meticulously crafted game board. Your character’s heroic proportions are shrunken down, allowing you to explore the many nooks and crannies of the game board. Some discoveries might be minor—a shortcut here, a smattering of gold-filled chests there—but you could end up stumbling onto an entirely optional area that some adventurers might miss entirely.”

“Minor discoveries and optional areas” sound intriguing for sure, and the environments in the belowTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsclasses video look fun to play around in. I really hope there’s a lot of class variety in the final version though, and a more compelling endgame.
