Looks like Halo 5 in 2015

Just likeHalo: Combat Evolvedin 2011, it’s looking as if Microsoft will similarly celebrate the tenth anniversary of the release ofHalo 2. While the fairly predictable rumor had been swirling around for a while, a voice actor has all but confirmed it.

Steve Downes, the voice of Master Chief, toldGameZoneof Microsoft’s intentions, along with an update on 343 Industries’ saga. He commented “I think you may be ahead of yourself onHalo 5. I wouldn’t expect anything until 2015. What you can look forward to this year is an anniversary edition ofHalo 2.”

We’ve known for a while now that we’ll see moreHalothis year, but everyone’s been mum on the details.Polygonreached out to Microsoft who wouldn’t confirm anything apart from “your nextHalojourney will begin in 2014.” In the likely event that theHalo 2rumor is true, this journey feels less like a step forward, and more like a giant sidestep through familiar territory. Albeit, that territory covers one of the greatest games on the Xbox platform.
