The stars look very pretty from R’lyeh

Well, this is awkward. When it was announcedCyanide is making an officialCall of Cthulhugame, we’d just assumed that it meant the previous one in development at Frogwares was no more. Turns out we were wrong.

TheSherlock Holmesdeveloper has announcedThe Sinking City, an open-world Lovecraftian investigation game. The art given for it looks absolutely amazing, with tentacles and floods and all that good stuff.

The game is already set to be shown off too, as it is due to be unleashed on GDC next week. It will be interesting to see howThe Sinking Citydifferentiates fromCall of Cthulhu, as both are investigation-based Lovecraft games.

I can’t wait to see more ofThe Sinking Citybecause while the art is great, we don’t actually know much else about the game. I’m definitely excited for this one!
