As part of the Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft showed offa spiffy newFabletrailer. Beyond that, we’ve also learned we won’t be playing it until 2025.
I didn’t really believe Uncanny Valley could be applied to video games until I saw the new Fable. That really hasn’t changed in this trailer. It’s largely cinematic, telling the story of one person who looks like they’ll be your mentor and another who’s maybe your foil.
More importantly, there’s some stuff in there that looks like gameplay. There are interactions with both fans and haters, a little bit of combat, and a few peeks at the world. Neat.
I wonder if you’ll be able to plant a tree and watch it grow over the course of your hero’s life.
Fableis coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC sometime in 2025.
