But no sales figures
It was a given thatDragon Age: Inquisitionwas going to be a big hit for both Electronic Arts and BioWare. That’s a no-brainer for the conclusion to a triple-A trilogy. But, even the publisher seems to be taken a bit aback by how well it performed.
In its financials statement for quarter three of 2014, EA said thatDragon Age: Inquisitionwas BioWare’s most successful launch ever. While a notable claim, it rang a bit hollow in a sense, as it was never elaborated upon. There were no sales figures or profit margins to substantiate it.

Regardless of the specifics ofDragon Age‘s contribution, EA seems to have had a fantastic quarter. It came in well ahead of its projections for net income (by $153M) and earnings per share (by $.32/share). Additionally, EA says that it saw record cash flow for a calendar year period. Quarter three’s performance culminated in EA raising its predicted financials for the end of fiscal year 2014.
