EarthBound/Motherfans know who Dr. Andonuts is. The rest of you don’t. If you’re one of those in “the rest,” I can tell you in brief that Dr. Andonuts is a major character in one of Nintendo’s most beloved and maltreated series. Ness and Lucas fromSuper Smash Bros. Brawlare fromEarthBound/Mother. Yeah, those games.
While wandering around the Nintendo booth today, looking for cat-scraps, I noticed that there was an office with the name “Dr. Andonuts” on it. As a hugeEarthBound/Motherfan, I appropriately freaked out and demanded an explanation. Luckily, the always prepared Conrad Zimmerman was there to capture the event with his digital camera. He didn’t get me accosting the courteous and lovely Nintendo reps about the whole thing, but he did capture my annoying attempts to get answers out of this guy.
What do you make of this whole Andonuts mystery? Is Nintendo up to something, or are they just getting our hopes up for the f*ck of it?
