Side-scrolling mech shooterGigantic Armyis set to make its attack run on Windows PC early next month, doujinsoft publisher Nyu Media has announced. Developed by Astro Port, the Japanese indie studio behind the likes ofSataziusandArmed Seven, the title harkens back to the 16-bit era with retro arcade action.

The story is set against the backdrop of a war between mankind and an alien race bent on halting humanity’s spread throughout the universe. Players pilot a manned combat robot in a battle on the alien homeworld across six levels with massive bosses. A customizable arsenal and range of different difficulty settings also await.
