With the massive success ofHelldivers 2across the PS5 and PC, those who go multiplatform wonder if the game has cross-progression. With this feature being more prevalent in big online games nowadays, does this do the same?

DoesHelldivers 2have cross-progression?
Unfortunately,Helldivers 2does not have cross-progression at the time of this being out.The CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios and Creative Director ofHelldivers 2,Jonathan Pilestedt, took to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss this matter:
If you mean PC->PS5?There will probably be cross progression sometime in the future. We didn’t think enough people would be interested so we decided to cut it – but now it seems there’s a significant part of the audience that is playing on both platforms.
In the Tweet, he said that this feature would be implemented “sometime in the future”. He further added that he didn’t think there would be enough interest in it, so it was never added.
So, the answer isn’t an outright no, but you shouldn’t hold out on it if you were planning on playingHelldivers 2between your PC or handheld and the PlayStation 5. Choose your preferred platform and stick to it in the meantime.
Should the option become available in the future, you can then support democracy on two different fronts.
Luckily, since this game supports cross-play between PlayStation 5 and PC, you aren’t at too much of a loss for not being able to switch platforms and keep your progress.
The only loss would really be for those who havea handheld PC like an ROG Allyor a Steam Deck who want to take the game on-the-go, but primarily play on PlayStation.
