So uh,DiRT 3— it’s totally happening. Seeing as how the current installment is one of the greatest racing games this generation, it’s hardly surprising. Awesome? Yes! Shocking? Heck no.
The sequel was confirmed by Codemasters VP Gavin Cheshire in an interview with Edge: “There’s some great stuff coming from Birmingham that’s going intoDirt 3, and obviously you’ve seenBodycount.”
Quite a relaxed way to announce the new game, huh? Thankfully, Cheshire provided some insight into what we can expect fromDiRT 3. “I’m not saying we’re throwing all the codebase away, but we’re throwing the thoughts away and coming out with something fresh and new.”
“Because if you don’t innovate, you’re dead.” Here’s hoping we see something more substantial at E3.
