Also, ‘dat offline play and no Auction House

It appears as if the Xbox 360 will be joining theDiablo IIIloot-festconsole party, as the game is now set for a September 3rd release date for both the 360 and PS3, priced at $59.99. Local and online play are re-confirmed for both versions. The PS4 version is still in the works for a future release, presumably near or at the console’s launch. I guess Sony had “timed announcement exclusivity?”

Either way, this is a great day for 360 and PS3 fans alike, as the game will allowoffline playandwill eliminate the Auction Houseentirely. Withthe new Directoressentially admitting they made a ton of mistakes, I have high hopes forDiablo III‘s future. Maybe, just maybe they’ll slowly eliminate the online requirement for the PC version due to the overwhelming success of the console version, and by the time the first expansion rolls around, we’ll have a superior version of the game.
