The big Nintendo NX announcement is right around the corner, but what to do with a warehouse full of refurbished Wii Us? Nintendo’s strategy appears to be pawning them off on eBay with a $75 discount and a bonus $25 eBay gift card.
Today on Nintendo’s official eBay page, adiscount on the Wii UWhite 32GB unit showed up for $225 and includes a free $25 eBay gift card. This 32GB console bundle technically isn’t a full Deluxe set, because it doesn’t come with the Wii U stands, but it does still include the 32GB console and two games:Super Mario 3D WorldandNintendo Land.
The units Nintendo is selling are refurbished but come with a one-year warranty. You might see a minor cosmetic blemish, but it’s guaranteed to be fully functional. Basically, it’s in like-new condition.
Word from eBay is there are 500 units available at this price with the $25 bonus.
