I took one look atCastaway Paradiseand I knew it would be perfect for me. Lately all I seem to want to do is live vicariously through my digital avatars across different platforms. The colorful atmosphere ofCastaway Paradiseand obvious homage toAnimal Crossinghas landed it on my shortlist of “must play” games, and I surmise some of you may end up feeling the same way.
The villagers may not be animals, but it certainly looks like you interact with them in much of the same manner as you would with your friends inAnimal Crossing. And in the free-to-play iPad game, you’ll cultivate crops, go fishing, collect bugs, and do favors for your neighbors. So it’s certainly ripping offAnimal Crossing, but doing it in such a charming manner that you may’t help but want to give it a try.

Stolen Couch Games’ simulator has been around on theApp Storefor a bit now, having just been soft launched in Canada, Australia, and Vietnam, with a UK date on the “to be announced” list. Have you playedCastaway Paradise? What do you think?
