PlayStation Event, New York, 02/20/13
Yoshinori Ono spoke today at the PlayStation 4 event, live in New York, and highlighted Capcom’s history with PlayStation consoles, explaining how Sony allowed them to blossom with titles likeDevil May Cry,Onimusha,Street Fighter,Resident Evil, andMonster Hunter.
But the real bombshell was abrand new enginebuilt for the PlayStation 4 by Capcom, code named “Panta Rhei.” A brand new IP with the working titleDeep Downwas shown, in what seems to be a medieval setting, not unlikeDragon’s DogmaorDark/Demon’s Souls.
In addition to some action oriented gameplay, the trailer showed off some of the social functions of the game, including a cry for help in-game using the PlayStation 4’s UI. Whatever this game turns out to be, I’m there!
