By Gunnm, this looks cool

FYQD-Studio’s hyper-kinetic action titleBright Memoryonly just left Early Access, but that hasn’t stopped the developer from revealing its second chapter,Bright Memory: Infinite, currently in development for PC and consoles.

Bright Memory: Infinitewill see players step back into the highly skilled shoes of operative Sheila, a top agent of the Science Research Organization, as she patrols the airborne “Land of Sky,” investigating strange phenomena and the shady organizations that hope to benefit by exploiting them.Bright Memorycombines parry-and-attack melee combat with typical FPS run ‘n’ gun action to create a fast-moving and dynamic action experience.

What strikes me hardest isBright Memory: Infinite‘s immediate resemblance to one of my all-time favourite manga franchises:Gunnm(akaBattle Angel Alita). With its cyber-tooled hero, sky-high locations, and fusion of martial arts and firepower,Bright Memory:Infinitelooks to be the Alita game we never got (save for a Japan-only PlayStation release). This is reason enough forBright Memory: Infiniteto hit my radar – even with thatstomach-churningjetliner sequence that closes the video.

The originalBright Memorylaunches on PC March 25, whileBright Memory: Infiniteis currently in development for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
