The sequel to the Ryan Reynolds hit Definitely, Maybe

Hotline Miamipublisher Devolver Digital is just bringing us all sorts of good stuff. Recently we learned it would be publishingGods Will Be Watching, which looks like a pixel version ofThe Thing. It’s publishing the radLuftrausers, and now it has announced it will be publishing the experimental indie RPGAlways Sometimes Monsters, which you’ll be able to check out at PAX.

Always Sometimes Monstersaims to explore themes and issues of the modern world where decisions you make affect your life and the lives of those around you. Players will assume the role of a character out of luck, out of money and on the verge of collapse after learning their beloved is set to marry someone else.

Out of luck and money? I’ve never had either. Sounds good to me. Developer Vagabond Dog’s Justin Amirkhani said, “Concepts of right and wrong can easily whittle away within the game, so we are looking forward to seeing what choices players make during their unique journeys.” Sounds good, too. It’salways sometimes interestingto see how choice and divergence are handled.
