Good luck!
TheResident Evil 4remakebrings back the classic “grade letter/tier” ranking system, and it goes the way up to11S+. Here’s what you’ll need to do to actually get that gold star and make your favorite role model proud.
AllResident Evil 4remake S rank requirements
Each difficulty setting (from assisted through professional) has its own set of campaign clear time requirements, which in turn dictate your ranking. We don’t recommend trying for an S or S+ ranking on the first run, as you’ll need to learn the basic structure of the campaign; and know when to fight and when to run (andhowto fight).
Here are all of the S rank requirement clear times:
AllResident Evil 4remake S+ rank requirements
The requirements for an S+ rank are roughly, the same as S, but with a major caveat: you cannot use a New Game+ (NG+) file with tons of weapons/items ready to go, it has to be a fresh save. Additionally, professional mode has an extra task tacked-on of a 15 save limit (read: 15 acts of using a typewriter to manually save). Note that you may see how many saves you’ve triggered on the actual save/load menu, and professional mode does not have auto-save capabilities.
Is it worth going for S-ranks in theResident Evil 4remake?
After the first run, absolutely!
While the rewards may not be everything you hoped for, getting an S rank inResident Evil 4after you know the game’s ins and outs is totally doable. It’s also one of the easiest ways to get some replay value out of the game, and create a milestone to reach on your second playthrough.
Even if you’re just trying for a regular S rank in the exact difficulty setting you just played (from standard onward), that’s still going to unlock something.
