Battlefield Heroes, EA’s free-to-play cartoon-style shooter, has apparently been expanding its user base right on schedule — the game has reached 3 million registered users.
That comes down to somewhere near 50,000 new members per week, 1,300 years of game time played, and 300 million kills. Numbers! To commemorate this success, EA has put out one new map called “Sunset Showdown” (pictured above).

As crazy as this might sound, I can’t help but feel like the recent drama over in-game item pricesbeing tampered withdidn’t actually do as much permanent damage as we initially thought it would.
In fact, I bet the controversy raised quite a bit of awareness, causing people to, at the very least, checkBattlefield Heroesout, even if they vowed to never play it again moments later. Hey, that still counts as a registered user sign-up. You’re one of the 3 million now. EA owns your soul!
