It’s difficult to believe that it has been nearly four years since the last game in theRain-Slick Precipice of Darknessseries released. Many were heartbroken to hear that the original plan of four episodes would be cut short, leaving the rest of the story untold. Fortunately forRain-Slickfans, the long awaited continuation of the series was teased at PAX Prime 2011, and was shown in playable form at PAX East 2012. A lot has changed with the switch from Hothead to Zeboyd as the developers, but this long-awaited continuation does not look like it will disappoint....

Above you’ll find a new trailer for an upcoming Silent Hill fan film. I think it looks pretty good. I don’t know how closely the people at Lon Lon Studios (great name!) are planning to follow the original story (Silent Hill 2,they say), but from the trailer it looks like they’re not straying far. That’s a good thing, I think. They should have let me do original music for it.I scored two other Silent Hill-related fan films, and I think I did a pretty good job....

Anthony Burch is one of my heroes, which is weird, because I’m way older than him. That’s just one of the reasons I’m so jealous of the guy. He’s got a hit video series on Gametrailers calledHey Ash Whatcha Playin’(which got its start here on Dtoid), he’s one of the writers on the upcoming AAA titleBorderlands 2, he’s got a brilliant mind for game design, he’s funny, he’s got an awesome beard sometimes, the list goes on and on....

I lovepretty games, as long as they are well done and have a story to back up their graphical prowess. With this newFl0wertrailer from TGS, I feel like I just watched the prelude to a tampon commercial. Enthusiasts ofFl0wwill be glad to see that another title is coming in this series, which I actually enjoyed, but the trailer really left me cold. I hope the gameplay on this one is more than just wandering through consecutive fields of dandelions, because if so I’ll likely stick withEchochromefor my minimalist gaming needs....

Analogue has announced the next in their line-up of FPGA-powered console recreations. This time, they’ll be revisiting a personal favorite of mine, the Nintendo 64, with the Analogue 3D. Analogue is playingit pretty coywith the Analogue 3D. The only thing I have in terms of news is some shadowy images of the hardware and controller and the promise that it will be 100% compatible through the use of FPGA hardware emulation....
